"the
touch of peaceful, the beautiful of Luangprabang."
After a long walk searching for a hotel in mind under the
hot sun of April, we stopped at Villa deux Rivieres for a
drink (The umbrellas at the front drag me in 555). We didn't
book a hotel in advance coz we wanna make sure the hotel we
get is just right. Sort of not trust the pictures on the
internet. The atmosphere as well as the river view in front
of the hotel make us decide to see the rooms. The manager
showed all the room types and finally we fell in love the
room at the very front which was very cozy and private (rm
#6 if anyone wanna try. Thanks god, no more walking and
searching.) We have got our own outdoor seats which can
relax during late afternoon enjoy drinking and watching
great views of the river and temple. The manager also told
us that in front of the hotel is the starting point of the
traditional boat racing. (may be joining the event next time
we come). Best thing to us is the hotel is located in a
residential area. We still get a chance to see a daily life
of Luangprabang's people which is quite unique. Close to the
hotel is the main street which full with restuarants and
shops. Just 5 mins walk which is ok to us. I Think, this is
a perfect hotel for someone who wanna recharge yourself and
doesn't like to stay in the middle of the city.

"Uniquely
designed lobby and rooms in a cozy atmosphere on a great
location, top"
We got this cozy place recommended by friends. Recently
opened, nice design, great variety of rooms (thanks for the
tour Chris). Interior designer did an excellent job, rooms
with good atmosphere, nice materials, good big bed, AC, huge
TV, "colonial styled" bathroom. Combine this with plus++
staff and you have a winner. Walk 50 meters and you can
cross a bamboo bridge to the other side of the Nam Khan
river which floods in the Mekong river. What a stunning
view. I made my best video shot there. And there's much more
to see. To bad we could stay only 2 nights, but we'll be
back. Au revoir, and we will book again.
“Brand
new hotel with beautifully stylished, spacious rooms in
quiet area verlooking the Nam Khan river.”
We stayed 5 nights in this brand new hotel, built and
managed by Dutch people. The location is away from the main
road, overlooking the Nam Khan river and on walking distance
from the centre. The rooms are very spacious, beautifully
laid out and nicely decorated with touch for detail. The
beds are large and very comfortable with tastefully chosen
furniture. On the balcony there are comfortable wooden
chairs. Everywhere it is spotless clean. The staff is very
friendly (Lao hospitality) and helpful. Being Dutch, we felt
straight away at home; it is for sure a place to come back.

“Attractive New Hotel, Attractive Location”
This brand new boutique hotel has a quiet location along a
river. There is a bar with outdoor tables- a touch of Europe
in Laos! The owner and manager are Dutch and are friendly
and helpful. At the moment (2010) the hotel does not serve
breakfast but they include a complementary breakfast at an
excellent French bakery nearby. The rooms are all brand new.
Ours had a large, shower, was at the front of the hotel and
had a balcony overlooking the river.
